It is the highest time to see something special coming from people that are responsible for making Medal of Honor series of games. Their latest creation that came under the title Medal of Honor: Operation Anaconda which was simplified to just “Medal of Honor” appeared in October, 2010. So, it took EA two years to create another FPS which will somehow continue the story of modern warriors in the world full of bad guys. The next Medal of Honor will be called Medal of Honor: Warfighter and is said to appear on October, 23. The good news is that it will be launched on PC, Xbox and PS 3 at the same time, so no one will be left behind waiting another month to see it rocking his favorite platform.
There is not much we can share with you about the game itself. It will be a first person shooter with missions all over the world and a possibility to run, shoot and win in shoes of the most popular Special Forces in the world like US Seals, Norwegian FSK, Canadian JTF-2, British SAS, US OGA, Polish GROM, South Korean UDT/SEAL, Russian Spetsnaz ALFA GROUP and others. Sounds like a perfect team to survive zombie apocalypse, right? Sorry, no zombies in this game! At least, none I’ve heard about.
For some reason I am more than sure that game creators will bet a fortune on game’s multiplayer and we won’t be allowed to enjoy long and exciting single player. But multiplayer mode promises to be just amazing giving you a chance to play as a team for one of the Special Forces mentioned above. Can you imagine Norwegian FSK dealing with Polish GROM or US Seals with Russian Spetsnaz? I’d like to see that!
So far I can say that the Medal of Honor: Warfighter looks like an interesting combination of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Battlefield: cinematic slow motions, fighting strategy, shooting from a vehicle and all the other stuff we enjoy when playing modern shooters. Let’s hope there is something special waiting around the corner that will not only surprise but will make us shocked. Otherwise – it will be another clone of the shooters mentioned. Keep your fingers crossed and stay tuned for further updates. Also, check out a couple of trailers after the break.
